Female fertility support in Amsterdam: an integrative approach

Female fertility support at Mesology Amsterdam is integrative care for women who want to conceive: naturally, alongside IUI or IVF, or after a diagnosis such as PCOS or endometriosis. Adriana Guarin looks at your cycle, hormones, egg quality, digestion, nutrition and stress, and makes a personal plan that works alongside your GP or gynaecologist. No referral needed, in English, Spanish or Dutch.

Not getting pregnant when you really want to can feel confusing and lonely. Female fertility support gives you time, a clear picture of what may be holding your body back, and practical steps you can start right away. Read more about the causes in infertilidad femenina.

Mesology does not replace your GP, gynaecologist or fertility clinic. It works alongside them, and your partner is welcome too: read about Fertilidad masculina.

Female Fertility Support at Mesology Amsterdam

Why women choose fertility support at Mesology Amsterdam

Trying to conceive can slowly take over your life: every cycle a new hope, every period a new disappointment. Many women hear “just relax” or “give it time”, while they feel something else is going on.

At Mesology Amsterdam you get time, a clear explanation and a personal plan, whether you are trying naturally or are already in fertility treatment.

What female fertility support looks at

Fertility reflects your whole body. These are the six areas I look at during female fertility support.

Cycle length, ovulation, PMS, progesterone and thyroid: the signals your cycle gives about your hormonal balance.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, fertility is linked to kidney energy and blood. Pulse and tongue observation show where your body needs extra warmth, nourishment or rest.

Long-term stress and poor sleep disturb the hormones that regulate ovulation. We work on recovery and calm.

Your gut affects hormones, immunity and inflammation, which all play a role in fertility and implantation.

Eggs mature over about 90 days. Nutrition, folate, vitamin D and omega-3 help to support their quality.

Preparation before treatment, support during stimulation and around transfer, and recovery between attempts.

How female fertility support works

Female fertility support in three steps

  1. Intake (90 minutes): your fertility journey, cycle, earlier tests and treatments, digestion, energy, sleep, stress and lifestyle.

  2. Evaluación: pulse and tongue observation and an EPD measurement, to see where your body needs support to become pregnant.

  3. Personal fertility plan: nutrition, lifestyle, stress regulation and, where useful, targeted supplements, matched to your cycle or treatment phase.

Follow-up consultations usually take place every four to eight weeks, aligned with your cycle or your IUI or IVF schedule.

Female fertility support for PCOS, endometriosis and more

Female fertility support can help in many situations. I often work with women who:

  • have been trying to conceive for a year or longer, or six months when over 35

  • have PCOS, an irregular cycle or no clear ovulation

  • have endometriosis or painful periods

  • have thyroid problems or other hormonal imbalances

  • have heard their subfertility is unexplained

  • are preparing for or going through IUI or IVF, or donor insemination

  • had one or more miscarriages and want to prepare well for a next pregnancy

Experience with fertility

Fertility is one of Adriana Guarin’s main areas of focus. As a registered mesologist, trained in the four-year programme of the Academy for Mesology, she combines medical knowledge of the female cycle and hormones with nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda.

She regularly supports women and couples alongside Dutch fertility clinics, and is a member of the NVVM, VBAG and RBCZ. Read Adriana’s story.

Fertility support and your insurance

A fertility intake costs €180 and follow-ups €150, as shown above. Most women combine fertility support with three to five consultations over several months, depending on their cycle or treatment schedule. Many supplementary insurances partly reimburse the consultations, separately from the eigen risico for your IVF or IUI treatment. Prices and insurance.

questions about female fertility support

It is integrative care for women who want to conceive. Adriana looks at your cycle, hormones, egg quality, digestion, nutrition and stress, and makes a personal plan that works alongside your GP or gynaecologist.

Yes. With PCOS, nutrition, blood sugar balance, movement and stress regulation can support a more regular cycle and ovulation. This complements the care of your gynaecologist.

Ideally about three months before treatment, as eggs mature over roughly 90 days. Even a few weeks of preparation is better than none.

Yes, if possible. Male factors play a role in about half of all couples with fertility problems.

No. It is complementary. All prescribed treatments and medication stay as they are, and Adriana is happy to coordinate with your medical team.

Fertility consultations are partly reimbursed by many supplementary insurances; basic insurance does not cover mesology. This is separate from the eigen risico of your IVF or IUI treatment, and no referral is needed.
