General Terms and Conditions

Confidentiality

The therapist is required to act in accordance with legal regulations. The rights and obligations of both client and therapist are laid down, among others, in the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO) and the Quality, Complaints and Disputes in Care Act (Wkkgz).

The therapist maintains a client file. The client has the right to access their own file. This file is kept for a total of 20 years, in accordance with the statutory retention period.

The therapist observes confidentiality regarding information provided by the client, which is stored in the file. At the client’s request,
information may be obtained from and/or provided to a designated therapist, physician and/or medical specialist before, during, or after the treatment period, for which the client must grant specific consent.

Your therapist will never provide information to third parties without your explicit permission.

Appointments, Treatments and Consultations

The therapist is obliged to provide the client with information regarding the treatment during all stages of the process. The client is obliged, through the anamnesis (intake) interview, to provide the therapist with all relevant information.

The therapy plan consists of several consultations, each beginning and ending with a discussion. At the conclusion of each consultation, it is jointly decided whether the therapy will be continued.

The therapist may not perform any mesological treatments without the client’s consent.

For a minor client and/or a client under guardianship or supervision, consent must be obtained from the parent(s) and/or guardian(s).

For minors between the ages of 12 and 16, consent is required from both the child and the parents. Treatment of children younger than 12 years requires consent from the parents only. For both categories, if the parents are divorced, consent is required from both or from the parent who has parental authority. In the latter case, the parent who does not have parental authority has the right to general information from the therapist.

For more information regarding the treatment agreement, I refer to the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO), which can be viewed on the website: https://hulpgids.nl/recht/wettelijke-regelingen/wgbo.

The therapist is obliged to refer the client appropriately to a colleague (therapist, doctor and/or other healthcare professional) if mesological treatment is not appropriate and/or sufficient.

Fees

The fees for a mesological consultation are listed on this website. Individual nutritional advice, findings from the examination, any supplement recommendations and other advice are included in the consultation and provided in writing after the appointment. Any supplements themselves are not included in the consultation fee.

Payment

The invoice will be sent to the client by email. This allows the client to easily submit a claim for (partial) reimbursement from their supplementary health insurance provider. Payment is made in full and immediately after the consultation, by debit card, credit card or in cash.

Cancellations

If the client is unable to attend, they must cancel at least 48 hours in advance (by telephone, SMS, voicemail message, or email). Appointments cancelled within 48 hours will be charged in full.

Reimbursement of Therapy

Integrative Health Clinic is affiliated with the NVVM, VBAG, and RBCZ. These associations strive to ensure that consultation costs are (partially) eligible for reimbursement. Mesological consultations are classified as alternative medical treatments. The client must personally check with their health insurance provider in advance whether the treatment costs are (partially) reimbursed. The client is fully responsible for this verification.

Availability

The practice operates by appointment only.

Contact is possible by phone or email.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00–18:00.

Evening and Saturday appointments are available by arrangement.

Please note: Opening hours may vary during the construction holidays and Christmas holidays.

If the therapist is unable to keep an appointment due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, she will notify the client as soon as possible and contact them promptly to arrange a replacement appointment.

If the therapist is unable to conduct consultations for a period longer than four weeks due to illness or other causes, she may propose that a colleague therapist take over the appointments. The client always has the right

to decide whether or not to agree to this.

Liability

For complaints regarding mesological treatments, please refer to the complaints procedure on the website. All possible consequences arising from withholding information contained in the medical file held by the client’s general practitioner are the responsibility and liability of the client.

The therapist holds collective professional liability insurance. Any liability of the therapist is limited to the amount paid out by the insurer in the relevant case, plus the applicable deductible.

Mesology is not intended to establish medical diagnoses or treat diseases. It is designed to complement conventional healthcare, not replace it. It is therefore appreciated if your general practitioner and/or specialist is informed about your condition. Incurable diseases cannot be eliminated through mesology; however, treatments can make a positive contribution to supporting health and well-being, both during and after conventional medical treatment.

Prescribed medication should never be changed or discontinued without consulting your doctor and/or specialist. In case of any doubt, the client must contact their general practitioner and/or specialist. The client remains at all times responsible for their own health.

In providing services, the therapist undertakes a best-efforts obligation, not a guarantee of results.

The therapist does not in any way provide a medical guarantee, nor is she liable for any medical complications that occur during or after treatment, unless these result from serious or intentional negligence. The therapist is not liable for consequential damages of any kind.

The therapist is not liable for damages resulting from the client’s failure to properly follow verbal or written advice. The therapist’s liability for damages arising from services rendered (including when performed with the assistance of third parties) is limited to the cost of one consultation and the recommended supplements.

The therapist is not responsible for the quality or composition of any supplements recommended. The supplier of these supplements is solely responsible and accountable for them. The therapist will, to the best of her ability, assist in resolving any complaints regarding recommended supplements.

Termination Conditions
Termination of treatment may take place at any time by mutual consent. If the client no longer wishes to continue the treatment or deems it unnecessary, he/she may terminate it unilaterally. The therapist may terminate the treatment unilaterally only by stating reasons and, if necessary, referring the client to another therapist, doctor, or other healthcare provider.
